"Medicine is a science of uncertainty and an art of probability" ~ William Osler

Registration and Abstracts

The annual meeting is the American Osler Society's core event, where physicians, educators, historians, and students meet to learn from each other, explore medicine's common history, and reflect on Osler's legacy in today's healthcare world. The meeting includes multiple 20-minute peer-reviewed presentations over two and a half days, the Presidential Address, and the McGovern Lecture. Past McGovern Lectures have featured well-known historians, such as William Bynum and Rosemary Stevens; medical ethicists, such as Albert Jonsen and Abraham Verghese; and innovative scientists, such as Sir Richard Doll. The Society offers several awards for student presentations, offering the chance for members to meet and interact with the next generation of medical professionals. The meeting venue moves throughout the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.

The next Annual Meeting of the American Osler Society will be held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, May 14 - 17
